Privacy Collection Statement

At Global Retail Brands Australia Pty Ltd your privacy is important to us.

We collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information when you:

1. REGISTER FOR A BACCARAT ACCOUNT

We collect information including your username, password, name and contact details.

We will use the information you provide for the purpose of (1) registering you for a Baccarat account; (2) communicating with you (including via email and SMS) regarding exciting new offers, including delivering direct marketing communications from Baccarat and affiliated businesses we operate and associated product brands which we believe may be of interest to you; and (3) for targeted advertisements (Purposes).

2. SIGN UP TO RECEIVE OUR NEWSLETTER OR SUBSCRIBER LIST OR LOYALTY OR REWARD PROGRAM(S)

We collect information such as your name, postal address, email address, telephone number, date of birth, purchase history interests, and any other information required to provide that service to you.

We will use the information you provide for the purpose of (1) registering you as a member of the program and managing your membership, (2) providing you with personalised offers, rewards and program updates and tracking your purchases, points and reward redemptions (with respect to the loyalty program), (3) communicating with you (including via email and SMS) regarding exciting new offers, products and services including delivering direct marketing communications from Baccarat and affiliated businesses we operate and associated product brands which we believe may be of interest to you and (4) for targeted advertisements (Purposes).

3. SUBMIT AN ENQUIRY, PROVIDE FEEDBACK OR MAKE A COMPLAINT TO US

We collect information including your name and contact details.

We will use the information you provide for the purpose of (1) responding to any enquiries, feedback or complaints made by you or (2) managing our relationship with you, including providing you with information about our products, services, offers and events that may be of interest to you (Purposes).

4. MAKE A PURCHASE THROUGH US

We collect information such as your name, email address, postal address, phone number(s), IP address and payment information such as credit card or debit card information.

We will use the information you provide for the purpose of (1) dealing with and processing your purchase, including to provide you with receipts or order confirmation and to communicate information such as returns or exchanges or changes to delivery arrangements (2) detecting and preventing fraudulent transactions, theft and misconduct (3) delivering the product or service to you and (4) communicating with you our products or services, offers and events that may be of interest to you (including targeted advertisements) (Purposes).

5. PURCHASE A RESTRICTED KNIFE ONLINE WHICH REQUIRES AGE VERIFICATION

We collect information that is necessary to verify your identity and age. This may include your name, date of birth, government-issued identification details (i.e. passport or driver's licence), and other supporting identity information.

As part of this process, your information will be securely collected by GBG, a trusted identity verification service provider, who will act as intermediary and handle the submission of your information for the purpose of identity and age verification, to the Document Verification Service (DVS) Hub, a secure government service, administered by the Attorney-General’s Department, that verifies identification details against records held by the issuing authority. The DVS will then confirm whether the provided details match official records.

GBG retains personal information only as long as necessary (normally up to 1 day), after which it is securely deleted. Verification results (such as ID type, timestamp, and outcome) are retained for compliance and audit purposes. GBG manages information in accordance with Australian Privacy Principles, the Privacy Act, and GBG’s Privacy Policy.

We will only use this information for the purpose of identity and age verification and related compliance obligations (Purposes). We will also maintain full and proper records of all disclosures, confirmations and consents. If you do not provide this information, we may be unable to complete the verification process.

6. APPLY FOR EMPLOYMENT WITH US

We collect information that is relevant to such employment including your name and contact details including your residential address, phone number and/or email address and any other information relevant to the recruitment process.

We will only use the information you provide for the purpose of recruitment, assessing and administering your application for employment (Purposes).

7. PARTICIPATE IN SURVEYS, WE OR A THIRD-PARTY SERVICE PROVIDER ACTING ON OUR BEHALF MAY CONDUCT FROM TIME TO TIME ON OUR WEBSITE

We collect information including your name and contact details.

We will only use the information you provide for the purpose of (1) conducting the survey (2) enhancing our services and (3) managing our relationship with you, including providing you with information about our products, services, offers and events that may be of interest to you (Purposes).

8. VISIT OUR WEBSITE

We collect usage data for third-party web analytics service providers such as Google Analytics and Facebook

We will only use the information you provide for the purpose of (1) improving the efficiency and usability of our Website and (2) providing targeted advertisements to you on other websites and applications (Purposes).

We may disclose your information to our related companies and/or third parties associated with us for these Purposes or otherwise as stated in our Privacy Policy. If you choose not to provide the requested information or do not agree to our disclosure of any of your personal information this may prevent us from fulfilling the Purposes.

Our Privacy Policy contains our contact details and further details regarding how you can access or correct information we hold about you, how you can opt out of future direct marketing communications (including targeted advertisements), how you can make a privacy related complaint, how that complaint will be dealt with and the extent to which your information may be disclosed to overseas recipients including the locations of those recipients.
